I haven't indulged in an ebay typewriter searching in a long while. Here are some of the things that turned up...

We have 2 old typewriters and I love them. Most especially because my children sit down at them and write beautiful things that they would never take the time to otherwise but at a typewriter, it's fun.

My girlfriend has the Royal in your picture. She's a journalist who decided to jump ship from the local newspaper and start her fiction career. I saw on 100 layers blog that they used an old typewriter for folks at the wedding to tap out well wishes for the couple.

If they ever make it legal, we would like to do that at out wedding with the Royal!

As always...thanks for my daily inspiration.

I have an old Underwood I bought in an antique store for a prop for $35 and had it restored for $125, including having the rubber platen redone. My young son wondered if it was a new printer for my computer!
